Other Types of Weeds

Two species closely related to Japanese Knotweed are also found in the UK. These are Giant Knotweed (Fallopia sachalinensis), a much taller plant which reaches a height of 5m and a smaller compact variety (Fallopia japonica var. compacta) which grows to a height of only 1 metre. The hybrid (Fallopia x bohemica) is a cross between Japanese Knotweed and Giant Knotweed.

There are many other invasive weeds present in Britain such as Giant Hogweed, Himalayan Balsam and Ragwort, each one presenting its own particular problems.

We have the resources and experience to deal with any variety. For further information, please link to our sister site here.
