Petrolheads Only

This goes to all the car lovers out there.

If you drive a Tesla or a Polestar or a Nissan Leaf …please stop reading, you’re on the wrong blog.

I’m probably talking to the people who grew up on wanting the Triumph TR7 or the Stag, or maybe a Jensen, or maybe a Lambourghini poster was on your wall?

You’re probably currently driving maybe an M series BMW or you’ve managed to get into a Porsche of some sort, maybe an Audi RS6…something with a bit of character and a few litres of petrol powered engine beneath your right foot.

Maybe you’ve gone off the deep end and bought a big Range Rover with a V8 engine or perhaps you sold the company and bought an Aston Martin?

What I’m saying here is that you haven’t gone electric.

You’re not convinced.

You have ‘range anxiety’.

You have ‘re-sale’ anxiety having seen how the value of electric models just plummets after a couple of years.

My question to you is – what the hell is going on?

Every car maker is going full on electric.

Then they’re not.

There won’t be any more petrol Audi’s.

Then there will.

Porsche won’t do any more petrol cars.

Now they are.

Aston Martin will make an electric SUV.

Now they won’t.

All cars have to be electric by 2035.

Or will they?

Anybody out there know what’s going on?
