Every one of my super senses is telling me to tighten my belt.
I’m not replacing older vehicles.
I’m not replacing older staff as they die in service.
The website can suffice for another few years.
The coffee machine, with its leaky base is staying.
I’m cutting out the luxury toilet rolls – back to Izal.
I have zero confidence that anything good is about to happen with our current economy and I have zero confidence that the current government have the skill set to improve anything anytime soon.
When I say ‘current government’ – I’m not suggesting that we go for a change of party – I just don’t believe in any of them anymore.
I’ve now been around for a few years and am seeing the same crap spewed out by politicians every few years – then seeing them getting their pockets filled with tax payers money whilst the general situation of the country just goes down the toilet.
Public services have just declined.
Hospitals, doctors appointments, schools, night classes ….could it get any worse?
Prices for everything have just gone through the roof.
Heating, fuel, food, drink, supermarkets, clothes…could it get any more expensive?
I have a feeling that we’re in for a rough ride over the next few years and I’m not sure how to get off the hamster wheel and be able to sit it all out.
I feel like building a wall round my house, digging a well, buying a generator, buying candles and hoarding tins of beans….and maybe a few luxury toilet rolls just for me.
