Last Night a Robot Saved my Life….

So, it was the night before Christmas, fire lit, food prepared, wine opened, kids on the way ….when my internet hub stopped working.

Disaster…how the hell was I going to get anyone to sort this out on Christmas Eve…?

I made a few calls (hindered by not having any internet) and ended up receiving a text from BT.

‘Hi it’s the BT internet bot here’

Now any of you that know me – will know I’m not a fan of AI – or any of its associated robot friends – give me a good old human anytime…

Yet… having no other option, I decided to trust the internet bot and run with any advice that it could come up with…

It then – found my account – checked the connection – gave me a full update on the issues – refreshed the system – and ….IT WORKED.

Bloody hell – amazing …I take it all back.

Thank you BT – you saved my Christmas.
