I don’t get it….

Obviously I am a man of a certain age – I have some experience under my belt – yet much of the worlds ‘goings-on’ just leave me very confused.

We ALL know, war is bad.

I quote…. ‘What is it good for? Absolutely nothing ..’

Yet, here we are with Russia and Ukraine – and we’re being told that ‘Russia is at war with the UK’ and we need to prepare. We are told we need to spend more on defence and we need to increase the % of the GDP to spend money on nuclear submarines.

I also read that, should it ever come to it – the nuclear option will never be used because of the global cataclysm that would ensue.

So whilst we – the people – have children going hungry, a poor education system and crumbling schools, a rubbish NHS and no police officers ever actually doing anything ….yet we need to spend billions on a defence strategy that will never be used?

I don’t get it.

We all know Trump is a megalomaniac and Musk is up there with the same issues …yet the two of them seem to be running with the worlds finances and nobody seems to be able to cry reason?

I don’t get it.

We all know what happened when the robot in Terminator went off grid once the computer system became ‘self aware’.

We all know that AI will be the death of us…

…yet we carry on developing and researching ways to make robots more human and AI more integral in our daily lives.

Even the developers of these new systems flag up warnings that these systems will outthink, manoeuvre and dominate us within the next decade (or sooner) …yet nobody cry’s out ..STOP DOING WHAT YOU’RE DOING.

I don’t get it.

COVID was … ‘accidentally’ released by researchers working on toxins and viral disease pathogens. We all know this…. yet it’s tucked away beneath layers of rhetoric and bullshit.

Why are people even making these viral disease weapons of mass destruction in the first place??

Why is this even allowed??

Why was nobody held accountable for the chaos caused??

I don’t get it.
