Strategy Overview: Burial on Site
Survey work was completed by Natalie Roberts who produced a cost effective remediation strategy that would allow the new development to proceed without delay.
What we did
Following from our advice, we were instructed to implement the chemical treatment of multiple areas of Japanese knotweed and bury all infestations impacting on the development footprint on site within the adjacent public open space (POS). We acted as principle contractor to ensure that the hospital employees and visitors were protected at all times. The site was securely set up during the two week operation which involved working through the weekend to ensure that the client could deliver the project on time and on budget.
JKSL will monitor the infestation and administer a Glyphosate based herbicide to any re-growth which occurs over the sites 5 year warranty period.
