And so this is Christmas and what have we learnt?
Well.
I’ve been doing this for a long time…. and yet…. it’s only now just beginning to dawn on me …that it’s not all about me.
It’s about the team.
It’s about a group of people working together to hit a mutually beneficial end result.
It’s not about my ego.
It’s not about my blog or my LinkedIN ‘likes’ or viewing figures.
It’s not about my latest marketing strategy.
….it’s about a group of people who help each other and work together without sniping or moaning or complaining.
It’s about people just getting things done.
This does however, raise other questions along the lines of … ‘How has this happened?’ …and if this is just a happy coincidence then what is the point of anything that I do…?
My current feeling is to just keep my head down and let the team get on with things – they all seem to do better when I’m not around sticking my oar in.
