PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: Prior to starting at JKSL in 2006, I worked as a designer for a soft furnishings company for 12 months, following my Textile Design degree from the University of Leeds. I have previous experience in administration and customer service based roles, including work for the National Taxing Team.
JKSL EXPERIENCE: I started at JKSL intially as part of the admin team, now my role is extremly varied. I run the new enquiries and marketing team, manage our ISO 9001 and 14001 quality standards plus (and most importantly!) I am the assistant to CEO, Mike Clough – hence I need to be pretty organised! Whilst here, I have completed various training, an NVQ in Business Admin, Level 3 Leadership and Management, bookkeeping and most recently gained IEMA foundation certificate in Environmental Management. I also assist with the invasive specialists trade body, INNSA.
FAVOURITE PART OF MY JOB: Always being busy! I really enjoy getting involved with new marketing campaigns and organising JKSL’s unique annual seminar, which is a must attend for all those who come across invasive species within their industry.
LEAST FAVOURITE PART OF YOUR JOB: Auditing.
INTERESTS AWAY FROM WORK: My family keep me pretty busy outside work, I love watching my daughter horseriding at the weekend, a passion I have passed on to her! I enjoy interior design and love to get stuck into a creative project when I get time!
FAVOURITE LINE FROM A FILM: “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” – Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
IF I COULD BE ANYWHERE RIGHT NOW I’D BE: Walking Catbells in the Lakes, with my family and the pooch!
