Gained a BSc (Hons) degree in Physical Geography, graduating in 2013. In 2014 I travelled to different parts of the world and undertook different work experience schemes and projects.
My role at JKSL is to survey sites for Japanese Knotweed, and other non-native invasive plants, to then produce an eradication strategy that suits the requirements of the client.
Favourite part of your job:
Each site holds new investigations, findings and solutions. It is always good to meet a new face along the way too.
Least favourite part of your job:
Walking for miles on end in steel toe capped wellies. It’s safe to say I’m now a good few inches taller. Interests away from work: Swimming, cycling, walking, horse riding and of course spending quality time with my friends and family. I also love the odd trip to the Alps every now and again for the skiing season.
If I could be anywhere:
Back in New Zealand walking on glaciers, bungee jumping from ridiculous heights and swimming with wild dolphins!!
Favourite line from a film:
“Sometimes it is the people no one imagines anything of, who do the things that no one can imagine.” – The Imitation Game (2014)
