Weed Walks - Free Event
This is your chance to see first hand the problems caused by the spread of Japanese Knotweed and other invasive weeds in your area. Led by one of the UK’s foremost Japanese Knotweed experts, Mike Clough, the morning will include a walk around the local area to identify the problem weeds and discuss solutions to the growing problems.
The first event this year is scheduled for Wednesday 20th May at 10.30am and will be held at Moses Gate Country Park, Bolton. The diversity of habitats within the Country Park supports many forms of wildlife, with over 170 species of flowering plants and over 130 species of birds recorded. Unfortunately, the park is also home to an ever increasing number and amount of non-native species such as Japanese Knotweed, Himalayan Balsam and Giant Hogweed.
To see these weeds first hand and learn more about them, please register your attendance for this free event by completing this enquiry form.
