A Peek behind the Scenes

This newsletter is normally about showcasing our products and events, and presenting our views on what’s going on in the outside world, but this month we thought we would give you a little insight in to what’s going on at JKSL at this busy time of year.

Japanese knotweed has grown over 2m tall in many areas around the UK, and with a mix of sunshine and plenty of rainfall, conditions have been good for plants like JK, Giant Hogweed and Himalayan Balsam – so our phones are ringing off the hook.

Our surveyors are out on sites nationwide, visiting and assessing residential and commercial properties and putting together quotes for jobs in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

Our site teams are working day and night. Even on the longest day of the year, they were using mobile generators and portable lights to enable them to work round the clock!

We recently issued our 100th Insurance Backed Warranty. This is a product that Japanese Knotweed Solutions developed a number of years ago to meet market demand. It has proved so popular that many of our competitors have tried to copy it – but we still feel that we offer the best product on the market – offering bonds up to 20 years off-the-shelf, and bespoke packages to meet our clients’ every need.

Our marketing team are slowly disappearing in to cyberspace – Invasive Weed Solutions now has its own brand-new Twitter page (@IWSLtd) as well as a Facebook page, and JKSL are also using Pinterest – a web service that allows users to share photographs online – we’ve got some great photos up there!

There is a whole raft of content in development which will find its way on to our website over the next few weeks – educational information about invasive species, guidance for homeowners and landowners and information about MeshTech – JKSL’s patented, environmentally friendly method of Japanese knotweed control
We have uploaded a new Customer Satisfaction Survey which you are welcome to complete, if you are one of our satisfied customers, or if you have any suggestions that you would like to make.

The Invasive Weed Solutions 48 page Weed Identifier - yours for a follow!

Finally, we are getting great feedback on our Weed Identifiers – a pocket sized guide to 22 of the UK’s most invasive weeds. We are giving these away to people who follow us on Facebook – but as a subscriber to the newsletter, feel free to get in touch with our marketing department via jk@sltd.co.uk and we will be happy to send one out to you free of charge.
