I can’t get a Mortgage because of Japanese Knotweed!

As a follow on to the previous article it would appear that mortgage lenders are also getting increasingly picky as to whom they will lend money to. Here at Japanese Knotweed Solutions we are finding that during a house purchase if there is any hint of a JK problem a detailed report from an expert will be required.

Unfortunately, the simplest, cheapest removal options often require several years of careful chemical application – often quoted as a three to five year operation. This can have a devastating impact on both house sales and potential purchase.

The best advice in this situation would be to ensure that your property is Knotweed free – BEFORE - you put it on the market.
