Specialist - or Just Opportunist?
If you look up the word ‘specialist’ in the dictionary the definition states – ‘one who is devoted to a particular occupation or branch of study or research’.
So how come so many people call themselves ‘specialists’ in Japanese Knotweed when that are only doing it because they think they can make a few quid alongside all their other dodgy companies.
Here at Japanese Knotweed Solutions we do call ourselves ‘specialists’ because all we do is deal with Japanese Knotweed.
- We don’t do damp proofing.
- We don’t do green roofing
- We don’t do landscape works.
- We don’t do gritting.
- We don’t do carbon footprint assessments.
- We don’t do ironing – (yes really there is a company doing Japanese Knotweed removal and ironing!)
So when you are choosing the correct company to deal with your Japanese Knotweed issues don’t just go for the one that wants to make a quick buck. Choose a company that cares, choose a company that created an industry – choose a company that knows what it’s doing…
Most newly formed ‘Japanese Knotweed Specialists’ can be ‘weeded’ out by a quick check with Companies House. If they set up in the last three years and are part of another group of companies, then they aren’t specialists – just opportunists.
Don’t touch them with a barge pole.
