Aston Martin V12 Vantage versus the Toyota IQ…
One of the pleasures of being a business owner (and there aren’t many) is the occasional call from luxury car makers trying to sell you things!
As a man who has a passion for cars I have always called in to the various dealerships in the area and looked at the vehicles on offer – I’ve even bought one or two cars that maybe with a little more sense I wouldn’t have touched with a barge pole (the TVR springs to mind…).
With the current financial climate one or two of the more exotic car makers have been in touch and offered test drives in various exotica – most of which haven’t really interested me (who really would want to be seen in a Lamborghini??).
However my eyes really lit up when I had an e-mail asking if was interested in driving a V12 Vantage back to back with a DBS…
So last Friday I arrived at Stratstone in Alderley edge eagerly anticipating getting behind the wheel of the V12 Vantage….and it didn’t disappoint. From the moment you sit in the carbon fibre sports seats and push the start button you are hooked..! I’ve driven fast cars and driven some cars that look awesome but don’t perform – the Aston Martin looked fantastic and handled like an exotic go cart…can’t say enough good things.
I then moved on to the DBS (or the James Bond car as its also known) – again a most wonderful experience from the moment you sit in the sports seats…a little more relaxed than the Vantage and not quite the seat of your pants performance but still totally awesome driving experience.
For those of you waiting to hear about the Toyota IQ…
What can I say?

That would be the Land Rover methinks…nice to have the V12 Vantage but just cant justify it…
