Busy Busy
The last few months have been a real roller coaster of emotion as a business owner.
These are strange times that we live in…very difficult to plan and very difficult to have confidence in what the future holds.
Here at Japanese Knotweed Solutions we have again exceeded our monthly record for new orders - that’s two months in a row that have shattered previous records! In May we had 148 new jobs and in June we have had 154.
They aren’t all massive and they won’t break any financial records - but they are all good clients who pay their bills on time - which is all I ask.
So where is all this work coming from?
The main growth has been in the social housing market with a fourfold increase in spending on Japanese Knotweed. Awareness has been raised and mistakes identified - leading to budget allocations and longer term control strategies being implemented.
Running a close second is the Local Authority market - notoriously difficult to get a foot in the door - Japanese Knotweed Solutions are now getting regular orders from a variety of Authorities.
Surprisingly third in the growth market are the Private Homeowners - again notoriously difficult to get any one to commit to spending on Invasive Weeds - yet we have had many orders from individuals either improving or extending their property and requiring guaranteed eradication strategies….
Fourth up are the mortgage lenders - keen to check and clear any new invasive weeds from their properties - and also keen to come up with any reason they can to turn a mortgage application down!
I’m trying not to over analyse what’s happening but am just happy to still be keeping busy.
