Could it be Green Shoots of Economic Recovery? Or is it just red shoots of Japanese Knotweed?
Japanese Knotweed Solutions have just recorded their highest ever number of new jobs in a month.
So what’s going on?
Is it signs of an economic recovery or is it just that Japanese Knotweed is making the news and more people are aware of the problem?
I am of course hoping that it’s a sign of economic recovery and that we can all sleep a little easier at night… but I’m not sure.
Here at Japanese Knotweed Solutions we have been going ‘all out’ with marketing and trying to raise the awareness of the problems of Invasive Weeds. I spent much of last year on the road talking to such groups as the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, Insurance companies, house builders, developers, Social Housing Companies and Local Authorities. It’s the sort of selling that doesn’t bring results overnight but is a longer term investment in the credibility of the company. Recent projects have come in from people that I talked to over four years ago!
We also have a new product coming on the market from next week - launch is at the Lowry Hotel on the 18th of June - which we hope will appeal to a new client base. The product will not revolutionise Japanese Knotweed eradication overnight but will certainly help on those sites where a longer term strategy can be employed - watch this space for more details in the coming weeks.
So…..hopefully… with marketing at full tilt, new products on the horizon and the order books full - we can continue to buck the trend for gloom and doom and continue to thrive…
…and in the mean time - lets all push for that economic recovery that we all need.
